Meet the Passivhaus Standard with CarbonLite training!

The CarbonLite Programme has been written and developed by UK professionals with a wide variety of experience in the design and delivery of Passivhaus and Low Energy Buildings. CarbonLites' team of experienced and enthusiastic trainers deliver courses to those involved in the commissioning, designing and construction of low energy and low carbon buildings. Our courses give a good general understanding in the principles and methodologies of Passivhaus as they combine:

• THEORY   Courses are written to meet the Passivhaus Designer syllabus
• PRACTICE  Passivhaus schemes are used as examples during learning.

Where possible, visits to local Passivhaus schemes are arranged- a chance to see Passivhaus in action.

The CarbonLite programme offers flexibility to individuals and their organisations, as courses can be taken as 1 and 2 day modules or as the intensive 2-week Passivhaus Designer course, in preparation for the Passivhaus Designer Examination. We host the exam 4 times annually, with a free revision day to prepare you for the examination. Our pass rates speak for themselves!

Our courses are not just designed to get you through the examination, but to enable you develop successful buildings for the future.

The training programme was funded by the Carbon Trust among others and was endorsed at the CarbonLite launch by the president of RIBA and directors of the UKGBC and CABE. Courses are open to AECB members and non-members. Alternatively, all of the above training courses can be run on a bespoke basis as in-house training for a group of participants.
